MCBs

MCB stands for Miniature Circuit Breaker. It is an electrical switch that automatically turns off the electrical circuit when it detects a fault in the electrical system. MCBs are commonly used in residential and commercial buildings to protect the electrical wiring and appliances from damage due to short circuits, overloading, and other electrical faults.

MCBs are designed to trip or switch off the electrical circuit when the current flowing through it exceeds a certain limit. This limit is set by the rating of the MCB, which is usually expressed in amperes (A). MCBs are available in various ratings, and the appropriate rating is chosen based on the electrical load and wiring capacity of the circuit.

MCBs are preferred over traditional fuses because they are faster and more reliable in responding to electrical faults. Additionally, MCBs can be easily reset after tripping, whereas fuses need to be replaced.
